Jason is a true servant of his community. He is a member of the Conway Rotary Club which raises funds annually for Faulkner County community scholarships at their pancake breakfast held in conjunction with Toad Suck Daze, and he served on the board of directors for the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce for several years. When Conway Christian School needed to raise funds for the construction of a new elementary building, Jason was asked to serve on an advisory board that led to the creation of the Conway Christian School Foundation.Wow. Pancake breakfasts, Christian school, helping African children...this guy is a regular saint.
Jason lives his life to serve others. Whether he is helping families invest for their future, serving on the mission field building water wells for African children, or serving on the boards of church and community organizations, you will find Jason giving back to others and trying to improve humankind. When Conway Rotary awarded Jason the Rotarian of the Year Award in 2007, it was based upon the life of service to others he has made a way of life.
Which makes this video even more confusing...
You've got to change the hearts and minds of the people that live around you. You've gotta pray. It says 'Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. And I wonder sometimes when they invited all the Muslims to come into the White House and have them a little Ramadan supper, when our President could not take the time to go attend a National Prayer Breakfast--I wonder what he stands for. You know what, what they told is what you say speaks so loudly--excuse me--what you do speaks so loudly that what you say I cannot hear. I hear you loud and clear, Barack Obama. You don't represent the country that I grew up with. And your values is not goin' to save us. We're gonna try to take this country back for the Lord. We're gonna try to take this country back for conservatism. And we're not going to allow minorities to run roughshod over what you people believe in."Bigotry and racism has gained such a foothold in today's Republican Party and its Tea Party base that guys like Rapert can hold these kind of rallies in broad daylight and actually get applause for claiming that the Lord is against minorities "run[ing] roughshod" in America.
You can only imagine what these folks will be saying to each other when "minority" Marco Rubio starts "running roughshod" for President in 2016. But then again, Rush Limbaugh has already clarified that Cuban-Americans are the good Hispanics.
LIMBAUGH: And the way the Republicans are looking at it is that they think that Hispanic immigrants are made-to-order conservatives. For some reason, culturally, they think that they're invested in hard work. And using the Cuban exile model, they're exactly right. But the Hispanic demographic, if you will, or population, has shifted. And the Cuban exile model is no longer the dominant model. The Mexican immigrant model is. And that -- they arrive with an entirely different view of America. And I'm sorry if this is offensive, but it's true.On a side note, don't you think the guy holding the yellow Gadsden Flag in the video could easily replaced by someone holding a Confederate Flag...and it would be totally cool with the crowd...and State Senator Rapert.
